Our Footprints
Every event leaves a mark. Here’s how we’ve walked beside our community over the years.
Our First Annual Winter Family Dinner
We began our evening with a family-style dining experience where single members and families could share a table, enjoy a hearty meal, and build new connections. The evening was filled with laughter, games for the kids, and the joy of giving — every child in attendance received a gift card, and their gratitude was a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do. As conversations flowed, plans were made to meet again, proving that a warm meal really brings people together.

Back to School BBQ
We kicked off the school year with a community-wide BBQ that brought neighbors together over delicious food and the excitement of new beginnings. Children received brand-new bookbags filled with school supplies, ready to start the year prepared and confident. The BBQ was open to everyone, with enough servings to feed the crowd twice over — and the smiles on the kids’ faces as they clutched their new supplies were unforgettable.

Emergency Outreach for Our Unhoused Neighbors
On an evening walk around the neighborhood, we came across an unhoused lodging area where a few individuals were searching for food. We paused to ask what they needed most right away, and what followed was a beautiful exchange of stories, gratitude, and human connection. That night, we assembled and delivered 21 emergency bags filled with groceries and snacks — a small but meaningful way to provide for those in urgent need while making sure they felt seen, valued, and cared for.

Kids in the Kitchen: Culinary Workshop
It’s vital to teach children the basics of cooking, so they're empowered to nourish themselves and others. In this hands-on workshop, five students learned practical skills like chopping safely, cooking pasta until al dente, stretching meals while keeping them flavorful, and the importance of including vegetables in every dish. Together, they prepared dinner for the day while engaging in meaningful conversations about eating until content versus eating until full, and how leftovers can become a valuable part of a healthy meal plan. The experience left them with both full stomachs and lasting knowledge to carry into their daily lives.

When a Meal Becomes Hope
While listening to our unhoused neighbors, we asked what meals would bring them comfort over the next few days. Their requests were simple yet deeply moving—baked chicken, white rice, bread, and even steak, something many hadn’t enjoyed in years. Thanks to generous support, we were able to provide many of these meals and deliver two full days’ worth of nourishing food. The gratitude we witnessed was unforgettable, reminding us how powerful it is when a community comes together to meet not just basic needs, but to offer dignity, comfort, and hope.

Fruit First: Healthy Snacking Activity
Foods is about more than serving a meal — it’s about sparking curiosity and building habits that last a lifetime. During this activity, students explored a colorful variety of fruits and learned how to prepare a simple, tasty snack. What began with hesitation quickly turned into excitement as they discovered new flavors and textures, proving that fruits can be fun and delicious. Along the way, we talked about the importance of getting at least three servings of fruit each day and how small choices can lead to healthier futures. By the end, the students weren’t just eating the snack — they were eager to try more fruits and share what they learned with their families.

Help Us Create our Next Footprint
Every meal shared, every child inspired, and every neighbor supported is a step toward a healthier, more connected community. But we can’t do it alone. Your support — whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word — helps us continue building these moments of nourishment and hope. Together, we can leave footprints that last for generations
